Quick post because naptime is always too short and there are too many things going on, but wanted to let you know that David took some more steps! Saturday morning we were playing outside and he took a few (~4-5) steps in a row on the sidewalk to head over towards one of those grate/drain things. Then a couple hours later we were doing some garden-shopping at Lowe's and David was playing with a tomato cage. He used it as a walker for a couple steps (that in itself is pretty amazing because he just pushes his walker toys along and crawls after them at home, making car noises of course...), but then he picked it up really high and started walking all over! Granted, he has not repeated this feat, but it was a lot of fun to see and I'm glad it was when Ross was home too. Sorry for this harried post, please excuse any typos...

Super-Saturday at the beach! A couple weeks ago I thought it would be super-fun to plan another beach day getaway and the weather forecast looked awesome. We had a pleasant time, but it was pretty cold due to the wind which made playing in the sand a bit rough. We tried to hide behind a log to let David get some good digging in, he loved it, but we didn't last that long...

As you can see, it was pretty windy...

One of David's new favorite things- climbing into the rocking chair and saying "rock a rock, rock a rock" - too stinking cute!

Our awesome neighbors gave us this cool little slide thing for David as their kids had grown out of it, he LOVES it! Even went down the slide on his own yesterday! Mostly he loves all the peekaboo wholes right now though.

We stole said neighbor boys the other day (Ross pulled them over the fence from their backyard- being the perfect kids they are, they did go ask permission from their parents first though) and had a wonderful time playing soccer, potato gun wars, feeding them cookies and candy...it was a pleasant afternoon surprise and I'll think we'll have to steal them again sometime.

They even came by a little later (the rain had drawn them back home) to see what we were up to and both decided that helping Ross clean the garage sounded like more fun than watching SpongeBob...hehe...cute kids.

Smart little man knows that cars belong in the middle of the road...

Ross was being super-dad this weekend. It was a rough end to the week and I needed to take care of a bunch of things and Ross was great. He had so much fun playing with David, giving me plenty of time to get lots done. Even toted David around in the bjorn for a few...
