"Stay-cation"

My sister informed me that is the trendy word for our weekend's events... Ross took Thursday and Friday off this week and we had a wonderful time getting a couple home projects completed and just having fun as a family. We finished some yard work, shampooed carpets, organized kitchen cupboards...ate cupcakes, went exploring, ate more good food, took a short bike ride and spent all day Saturday at Cannon Beach!

David's first trip to the beach!!

Playing in the sand...he learned very quickly that sand is not very tasty...

Buzzing lips at the ocean
David's first sandcastle!
Oops...we remembered our sweatshirts, but forgot David's!

Waiting for lunch at Cannon Beach...Ross was hungry, can you tell? David was quite happy playing with the spoon.

Definitely needed a bath after a long day playing at the beach...
Where's David?
Peekaboo!

Woohoo! We reclaimed our yard from the weeds and planted some grass!

Those are some great pictures! Is that an alligator behind you guys on that sand castle picture?

cause if so then that is a pretty impressive first sand castle.

ok i just looked at the picture again and the alligator is so cool looking. i really want to know how to do that. maybe you have to live in oregon. i dont think i could do it with washington sand.

Ya, so many of us are asking, Did you make the alligator sandcastle or just happen upon it on the beach?
